Attendance settled by WhatsApp photo is a negotiation every morning.
Dialmio staff attendance app with selfie and location, beside your call reports
Dialmio lets staff clock in and out with a selfie and a location stamp, so hours worked sit next to calls made on one dashboard.
Three days free, nothing locked, no card.
How does selfie attendance work in Dialmio?
Attendance in Dialmio is a punch in and punch out inside the app the team already uses for calling, recorded with a selfie taken at that moment and a location stamp, so the owner has a dated record of who started work and where they were without anybody sending photographs into a group chat. Because it lives in the same app as the call log, hours worked and calls made appear on one dashboard, which is the comparison that actually answers whether a quiet day was a short day or a difficult one. The camera and the location are used at the instant of clocking only, never continuously, and staff can see exactly what was recorded about them. Field teams tend to adopt it fastest, since a punch at the site removes the daily conversation about when somebody arrived.
In short
- Punch in and out inside the calling app, no second tool
- Selfie and location captured at that moment only
- Hours and calling figures on one dashboard
- Staff can see the same record the owner sees

How it works
How do you set up and use selfie attendance for staff?
-
01Switch attendance on for the account
Attendance is a module the owner enables. A business that does not need it never sees the screens, which keeps the app smaller for everybody else.
-
02Staff punch in from the app
One tap, a selfie, and the location at that moment. Punching out at the end of the day closes the entry, and a missed punch can be corrected by a manager with a note.
-
03Read hours beside calls
The dashboard shows who worked, for how long, and what their calling looked like in the same period, per person and per day.
What you get
What do you get with selfie attendance for staff?
No parallel system
Attendance in the calling app means one login, one habit and no reconciliation between a photo album and a call report at the end of the month.
Hours next to output
Nine hours logged against forty calls tells a different story from four hours against forty calls, and both figures sit on the same screen.
Field work becomes visible
A punch with a location at the site replaces the morning message about traffic, which most field teams find easier than being asked.
Recorded at the moment, not continuously
The camera and the position are read when somebody clocks and at no other time, which is both the honest design and the one staff accept.
Visible to the person too
Staff see their own attendance record, so a disagreement about a date is settled by looking rather than by argument.
Kept only as long as it is useful
Selfies are retained for a limited window rather than forever, since the purpose is confirming a punch rather than building an archive of photographs.
From teams using Dialmio
What do owners and callers say about Dialmio?
Talk time per person is the only number I look at now. Anyone can dial and hang up. Nobody can fake ninety minutes of conversation.
Our ceiling was ninety calls a day for as long as I can remember. The second week on the dialer the same people did a hundred and sixty on the same list.
Site staff clock in with a selfie where they stand instead of sending me a photo on WhatsApp. Attendance is no longer an argument every morning.
These are the words of customers who agreed to be quoted this way, sent over WhatsApp or said on a call, shortened only where they ran long. No star total or review count is published, because there is no public rating page to point at yet. Last checked September 2026.

What do people ask about selfie attendance for staff?
Does the app track location all day?
No. The position is read at the moment of punching in or out and at no other time. Dialmio is a call management app with an attendance module, not a tracking tool, and it does not follow a phone around.
What if somebody forgets to punch out?
A manager can correct the entry with a note explaining the change, so the record stays accurate and the correction is visible rather than silent.
Can attendance be limited to a location?
The punch records where it happened, which lets an owner see whether somebody clocked in at the office, at a site or elsewhere, and handle exceptions as a conversation rather than a blocked button.
How long do you keep the attendance photographs?
They are held for a short period and then cleared, not stored forever. A punch photo exists to confirm who clocked in on a given morning, and there is no reason to build a permanent gallery of staff faces beyond that.
Do staff know what is recorded?
Yes. Employees see their own attendance history in the app, the same entries the owner reads. A record staff cannot see is a record they will work around.
Does attendance work without a network?
A punch made offline is stored on the phone with its time and position and syncs when the connection returns, so a site with poor signal does not become a gap in the record.
Does Dialmio include staff attendance?
Yes. Callers and field staff clock in and out with a selfie and a location stamp, and the owner sees attendance on the same dashboard as the call reports, so hours and output sit side by side.
Can a manager see only their own team?
Yes. Rights are granted per employee on the dashboard. A manager sees the callers assigned to them, with the same live figures and notes, and the owner alone sees everyone.
Does Dialmio record calls?
Dialmio logs that the call happened, how long it lasted, which lead it belonged to, the outcome chosen and the note typed. Audio capture is blocked for third-party apps on many Android phones, so it is not sold as a headline feature, and a vendor promising it on every handset deserves a pointed question.
Can I export call reports?
Yes, for any date range, as a spreadsheet. Exporting is a right on its own, which means somebody can call a list all day and still be unable to carry it out of the building.

Collecting it is the easy half
You have three months of punches and have never opened them.
Either use them or switch it off. Attendance nobody reads is surveillance without purpose, and the team knows it is being collected. Data gathered and ignored costs goodwill and returns nothing.
Somebody is consistently late.
Have the conversation, not the printout. A record settles what happened. It does not explain why, and arriving at a conversation with a spreadsheet rather than a question is how a fixable problem becomes a resignation.
You want to add live location next.
Do not. A punch is a moment; a track is a day. Teams accept the first and resent the second long after the novelty of the map has worn off, and we deliberately do not sell it.
What people ask about attendance
Why does the punch need a photograph?
Because a phone punch otherwise proves only that a phone was somewhere. The photograph at the moment of punching is what makes it about a person, and it removes the obvious workaround of somebody marking a colleague present.
Does it work where there is no signal?
It has to. Punches are stored on the handset and sent when the connection returns, which matters because the places field staff start their day are exactly the places with poor coverage. Anything needing a live connection produces disputes about days genuinely worked.
How long should the photographs be kept?
Weeks rather than years, and only as long as they are useful for the disputes they exist to settle. An indefinite archive of photographs of your staff is a liability, not an asset.
Should attendance feed into pay?
If it does, say so plainly before you switch it on. Attendance that quietly becomes payroll evidence after the fact is the fastest way to lose the trust that made people accept it.
What this rests on
- The behaviour described, including offline capture and stored timestamps, is how attendance works in Dialmio.
- The absence of continuous tracking is a deliberate product decision rather than a limitation.
What this page does not claim
- This is a page about our own feature.
- Nothing here is advice about employment law or data obligations. Take that from somebody qualified in your jurisdiction.
Worth quoting
- A phone punch proves the phone was somewhere; the photograph makes it about a person.
- Attendance data nobody reads is surveillance without a purpose.
- A punch is a moment; continuous location tracking is a line through a whole day.
- Punches must be stored on the handset and sent when the signal returns.
- If attendance will feed into pay, say so before switching it on rather than afterwards.
