Best call management apps for Android?
The best call management app for Android comes down to a single technical question that vendors almost never put on a comparison table, which is whether the app takes over as the phone dialer or simply sits beside the dialer as one more icon on the home screen waiting to be opened. An app that replaces the dialer sees incoming calls, missed calls and calls placed from the contacts list, and can show a customer record before the call is answered. An app that runs alongside it only knows about calls launched from inside its own screens, which quietly leaves every inbound conversation off the record. Among the six here, Dialmio, RMDialer, NLCaller and Telecalling Software all take over as the phone app and place calls on the SIM, at one hundred and fifty-nine to one hundred and sixty-two rupees a user on yearly billing. Telodial keeps the record inside its own dialer and works without a data connection, and AutoDial CRM dials a spreadsheet from inside its own screens for one person. Prices read on each vendor site on 15 October 2026.
In short
- Whether the app replaces the Android dialer or only sees calls it started itself
- What appears on screen when an unknown or a known number rings, before anybody answers
- How many taps the caller spends after a call, since anything beyond a few will not survive a busy week
- Whether the app works with mobile data switched off, which matters more in the field than most demos admit
How the list was judged
Which factors settle this choice?
- Whether the app replaces the Android dialer or only sees calls it started itself.
- What appears on screen when an unknown or a known number rings, before anybody answers.
- How many taps the caller spends after a call, since anything beyond a few will not survive a busy week.
- Whether the app works with mobile data switched off, which matters more in the field than most demos admit.
- Android version supported, and whether the owner needs anything installed at all.
The ranking
- 1
Dialmio
this is usStrongest at: replacing the dialer so incoming, outgoing and missed calls all land on a lead record
Becomes the phone app, shows the customer thread as the phone rings, and takes the outcome, note and follow-up in two taps as the call ends. Runs on Android 8 upwards, works with data off, and needs nothing installed on the owner side.
₹162 per user per month with yearly billing, whole product included
- 2
RMDialer
Strongest at: an Android team that would rather install something with years of listing history
The same shape of app, replacing the dialer and keeping the record beside the call, on the Play Store since 2020 with a Web CRM in the browser for whoever is not on the phone.
₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan (₹1,908 a year) or ₹249 on the 3-month plan, plus taxes
Side by side with Dialmio - 3
NLCaller
Strongest at: an Android team that wants a free dialer and a SIM choice on every call
Replaces the default dialer, lets the caller pick a SIM per call on dual-SIM phones, and keeps the Basic Dialer free forever. The paid app adds the auto dialer with one to three redials, a ring limit and a gap between calls that an admin can lock.
₹162 per user per month on the yearly plan (₹1,944 a year) or ₹254 on the 3-month plan, plus GST
- 4
Telodial
Strongest at: an Android team calling where mobile data is patchy
Dialing and the outcome sheet work with no data connection, and records sync to the owner dashboard once one returns. Android 8 or newer, one plan at ₹159 a user on yearly billing.
₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan (₹1,908 a year) or ₹249 on the 3-month plan, plus taxes
- 5
Telecalling Software
Strongest at: starting on a free Android dialer and adding the team system later
The free tier covers dialing through a list, filters, call analysis and automatic WhatsApp after a call. Lead records, follow-ups that ring and the manager dashboard are the paid part, at ₹161 a user on yearly billing.
₹161 per user per month on the yearly plan (₹1,932 a year) or ₹251 on the 3-month plan, plus GST
- 6
AutoDial CRM
Strongest at: one Android user who wants a list dialed hands-free and nothing uploaded
Set the interval once and it works through an imported sheet from your own SIM, queues the no-answers for another round, and keeps every list and note on the phone. It does not replace the dialer and has no team view, which is the point of it.
Free to start; heavy daily use is a subscription inside the app

Why does replacing the dialer change what a report can tell you?
An app that only records calls launched from inside it produces a report about outbound activity, and a great deal of business happens on calls nobody launched. A customer who rings back after seeing an advertisement, an enquiry returned from a missed call at lunch, a number a caller dialled from their contacts because they knew it by heart: all three are invisible to a companion app and all three are business.
The trade is real, though. Making an app the default dialer is a bigger decision than installing a reporting tool, both technically and with staff, and it is worth being straightforward about that when introducing it. What you get in exchange is a record with no holes in it, which is the only kind worth building a report on.
In fairness
When is Dialmio the wrong pick?
Three cases in which another tool on this list, or one not on it, will do the job better.
- A contact centre of fifty or more seats working cold lists, where dialing several lines at once over virtual numbers really does yield more conversations an hour than one SIM per person.
- A business whose main need is inbound routing: an advertised number with an IVR menu, queues and hold music is cloud telephony work, and Dialmio does not do it.
- A team whose callers carry iPhones. Dialmio replaces the phone dialer, which only Android allows, so there is no iPhone app.
From teams using Dialmio
What do owners who weighed the same options say?
No virtual number to rent, no per-minute bill, nothing to explain to the accountant. The calls cost what they always cost. The software cost is the whole cost.
The record opens when the phone rings. My newest caller knew the customer had asked for a 2 BHK on the third floor before she said hello.
My worry was the team refusing yet another app. By day three nobody had said a word about it, and silence after a system change is the highest praise a team gives.
These are the words of customers who agreed to be quoted this way, sent over WhatsApp or said on a call, shortened only where they ran long. No star total or review count is published, because there is no public rating page to point at yet. Last checked September 2026.
Questions
What do buyers ask before shortlisting?
Do these apps work on iPhone?
Partly. Replacing the dialer and reading the call log are capabilities Android grants and iOS does not, so Dialmio, Telodial and Telecalling Software are Android only for callers. RMDialer, NLCaller and Weo Dialer each offer an iPhone app with every feature except the call log. Owners and managers can use web dashboards from an iPhone without difficulty.
Will an Android call management app record calls?
It depends on the handset and the Android version, because the platform has restricted third-party recording progressively. Dialmio records on supported Android phones and attaches the audio to the call, and RMDialer and Weo Dialer also list recording; Telodial and Telecalling Software do not record. Test on the exact handsets your team carries before believing any answer.
Does making it the default dialer break anything?
No. Ordinary dialing, answering, contacts, dual SIM and conference calls all behave as they did. What changes is that a business layer appears on top: the customer record on the ring, and the outcome sheet as the call ends.
Which Android version do I need?
Dialmio needs Android 8 or later, which covers effectively every handset bought in recent years, and Telodial states the same floor. Other products publish their own, and it is worth checking against the oldest phone actually in your team rather than the newest.
Do these apps drain the battery?
Not noticeably. Calling uses the radio the phone would use anyway, and the additional cost is syncing small text records. An app doing continuous location tracking would be a different matter, which is one reason Dialmio reads position only at the moment somebody clocks in or out.
Can staff uninstall the app?
On a personal phone, yes, and no app can honestly claim otherwise. What a good product gives an owner instead is visibility: a caller who signs out or removes the app stops appearing in the reports, which is itself the signal.
Is Dialmio cheaper than other call management software in India?
Usually, once WhatsApp and reporting are added up. Published Indian prices for this kind of tool sit anywhere from about 100 to 800 rupees per user per month, and a few charge WhatsApp separately or reserve reports for a dearer plan. The fair comparison is the yearly figure for your actual caller count, with everything you plan to use included.
What does a call management CRM actually do?
A call management CRM connects the phone to the customer record. The record opens as a call starts, with the previous note visible; a sheet collects the result and the next step as the call ends; unanswered calls line up for a callback; and the owner gets call counts, talk minutes and outcomes per person with no report to chase. Dialmio does all four from a single Android app.
Is Dialmio a call tracker or a CRM?
Both, inside one record. A bare call tracker tells an owner how many calls were made. A CRM tells the team what was discussed and what comes next. Dialmio logs the call and pins the outcome, the note, the follow-up and the WhatsApp to the same lead, so tracking and selling share one screen instead of two tools.
How much does Dialmio cost?
Dialmio costs ₹162 per user each month on the yearly plan, or ₹249 on the three-month plan, taxes extra. Both billing periods include the whole product: call tracking, the auto dialer, the lead record, reminders, WhatsApp rules and the owner dashboard, with no cap on leads or calls. The first three days are free and no card is taken. Prices checked October 2026.
What counts as a user in Dialmio?
A user is somebody who signs in to the app to make calls. Five callers and one owner who only opens the dashboard means five users, since the owner login is part of the account and carries no charge.
Why this whole category runs on Android
Updated 23 July 2026
What an app is allowed to do on each platform
This is not taste. Android permits things iOS does not, and those permissions are the product rather than a detail of it.
| Capability | Android | iPhone |
|---|---|---|
| Become the phone dialer | Yes, with the user consent | No |
| Open a record the moment a call ends | Yes | No |
| Show the customer as the phone rings | Yes | Limited |
| Log a missed call into a callback queue | Yes | No |
Which is why every entry on the shortlist above is Android, and why a mixed-device team generally has to move to a cloud dialer with a softphone.
Choosing from the list
Everybody is on Android.
The whole list is open to you. The platform question disappears and the decision becomes ordinary: what is in the plan, what it costs at your headcount, and how quickly an outcome gets filed.
Some callers carry iPhones.
A cloud dialer with a softphone. The capabilities in the table are the product, not extras. An app that cannot become the dialer cannot open the record when the call ends, which is the entire idea.
You are buying handsets for a new team.
Buy Android and keep every option open. Inexpensive Android phones run these apps perfectly well, and choosing them leaves this whole category available rather than ruling most of it out on day one.
What people search about Android call apps
Is there a call management app for iPhone?
Not of this kind. There are cloud dialers with iPhone softphones, where the call travels over the internet from a rented number. What does not exist on iOS is an app that becomes the dialer, calls out on the handset SIM and captures the outcome as the call ends.
Which Android version do these apps need?
Android 8 and above covers essentially every handset in working use, including inexpensive ones bought in batches for a new team. Check each vendor stated minimum, but this rarely decides anything.
Will an app like this drain the battery?
A day of calling drains a battery regardless of software, because the screen and the radio do the draining. What genuinely matters is whether the app survives your handset maker battery optimiser, since one that gets killed in the background stops ringing the reminders it exists to ring.
Can any of them record calls?
Some can, on supported handsets. Dialmio records on supported Android phones, and RMDialer and Weo Dialer also list recording. What a given phone captures depends on its maker and Android version, so test on the exact handsets your team carries. Whatever the audio, a good one also keeps the call, its duration, the outcome and the note, which is the material a manager reviews first.
Worth quoting
- These apps are Android because iOS does not allow an app to become the dialer or open a record when a call ends.
- A team with iPhone callers needs a cloud dialer with a softphone rather than a handset app.
- Android 8 and above covers essentially every handset these apps run on.
- Recording on these apps depends on the handset model and Android version.
- Battery optimisers on some handsets kill background apps and stop reminders firing, which is worth testing before rollout.
What was checked
- The platform capabilities described are documented operating system behaviour, not one vendor claim about another.
- Prices came from each vendor’s own published pages on the date shown beside the list.
What this page does not claim
- We make Dialmio, which is Android only, so read the platform section knowing we cannot serve an iPhone team at all.
- We have not tested every listed app against every handset maker battery optimiser.
