Best employee call tracking apps in India?
The best employee call tracking app in India turns on a choice most owners make without noticing they are making it, which is whether the thing being bought is the count of calls each person made or the context around those calls that makes the count worth reading in the first place. Every app here reads calls on the SIM in each phone, so all of them can show how much calling happened. If that is genuinely the whole question, Telecalling Software keeps call analysis free forever. If the requirement is knowing what was said, whether the missed call came back and whether the promised callback happened, that is CRM territory: Dialmio, RMDialer, NLCaller and Telodial attach an outcome, a note and a follow-up to each call and show per-caller figures on a web dashboard, at one hundred and fifty-nine to one hundred and sixty-two rupees a user on yearly billing. Weo Dialer pairs call analytics with attendance per branch. Most owners discover they wanted the context after a quarter of the count. Prices read on each vendor site on 15 October 2026.
In short
- What is actually measured: attempts, connections, talk minutes, missed calls returned, or only a total
- Whether the figures come from the phone call log or from calls the app itself placed
- Whether staff can see the same record the owner sees, which decides whether a team cooperates with it
- Pricing shape: per phone number or per user, which changes the sum for anyone carrying two numbers
How the list was judged
Which factors settle this choice?
- What is actually measured: attempts, connections, talk minutes, missed calls returned, or only a total.
- Whether the figures come from the phone call log or from calls the app itself placed.
- Whether staff can see the same record the owner sees, which decides whether a team cooperates with it.
- Pricing shape: per phone number or per user, which changes the sum for anyone carrying two numbers.
- Whether the tool can act on what it finds, or only report it.
The ranking
- 1
Dialmio
this is usStrongest at: an owner who wants the numbers with the conversation attached, and the ability to act on them
Talk time, connect rate, outcome spread, missed calls returned and speed to first call, all drawn from calls that also carry a note, a follow-up and, on supported phones, the recording. The tracking and the selling are one record, which is what turns a report into something anybody does anything about.
₹162 per user per month with yearly billing, whole product included
- 2
RMDialer
Strongest at: an owner who wants handset-level call figures without buying telephony
Reads the handset call log this kind of tool depends on, and presents it to an owner in a Web CRM. Long enough on the market that the reporting has been shaped by a lot of teams rather than a few.
₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan (₹1,908 a year) or ₹249 on the 3-month plan, plus taxes
Side by side with Dialmio - 3
Telecalling Software
Strongest at: the lowest-cost answer to how many calls each person made
Call analysis and analytics are on the free tier, with no card, no trial clock and no user limit. For pure counting this is the efficient start; the paid plan at ₹161 a user adds the lead records and the manager dashboard.
₹161 per user per month on the yearly plan (₹1,932 a year) or ₹251 on the 3-month plan, plus GST
- 4
NLCaller
Strongest at: an owner who wants call logs and attendance from the same app
Team call logs sit beside attendance with a selfie and an office geofence, so the day of each caller is in one place. On iPhone the call log is unavailable, which removes the call-log reports for those callers.
₹162 per user per month on the yearly plan (₹1,944 a year) or ₹254 on the 3-month plan, plus GST
- 5
Weo Dialer
Strongest at: a multi-branch team that sets attendance rules per branch
Call analytics alongside days off and late cut-off configured branch by branch, on Android and iPhone. The price is quoted on WhatsApp rather than published.
Not published; the vendor quotes a per-user price on WhatsApp
- 6
Telodial
Strongest at: an owner who wants the outcome filed on every call before the next one rings
A two-tap outcome sheet after each call, stage changes and typed notes, all reported to an owner dashboard at ₹159 a user on yearly billing. No recording, so review rests on the notes and outcomes.
₹159 per user per month on the yearly plan (₹1,908 a year) or ₹249 on the 3-month plan, plus taxes

Which number should you watch: talk time or calls made?
Call count is the easiest measure to collect and the easiest to inflate. A caller who hangs up faster produces a better-looking day, which is precisely the wrong incentive to create. Minutes spent in conversation cannot be gamed the same way, and a caller with fewer calls and more talk time is usually the one closing business.
The second measure worth more than volume is the delay between a lead arriving and its first ring. Once that number is visible to everybody it tends to shrink without a meeting, and it correlates with revenue far more tightly than dialling activity does.
How do you track people fairly, and what happens when you do not?
Tracking that staff cannot see is tracking staff will work around, usually within a fortnight, and usually by carrying a second phone. Every tool on this list works better when the person being measured can open the same log the owner reads, and it is worth choosing on that basis rather than on which product hides the most.
The legal position in India is straightforward for business calls on a work app when the employee has been told: it is the telling that matters. What no tool here should be used for is reading personal calls on a personal handset, which is neither what these products do nor a defensible thing to attempt.
In fairness
When is Dialmio the wrong pick?
Three cases in which another tool on this list, or one not on it, will do the job better.
- A contact centre of fifty or more seats working cold lists, where dialing several lines at once over virtual numbers really does yield more conversations an hour than one SIM per person.
- A business whose main need is inbound routing: an advertised number with an IVR menu, queues and hold music is cloud telephony work, and Dialmio does not do it.
- A team whose callers carry iPhones. Dialmio replaces the phone dialer, which only Android allows, so there is no iPhone app.
From teams using Dialmio
What do owners who weighed the same options say?
The record opens when the phone rings. My newest caller knew the customer had asked for a 2 BHK on the third floor before she said hello.
My four callers use the same handsets they always did. Nothing was bought, nothing was ported, and by Tuesday the call sheet I used to chase every evening was just there.
Another vendor quoted me five times this per user and still wanted extra for WhatsApp. I kept waiting for the catch, and the catch turned out to be that nothing sits behind a higher plan.
These are the words of customers who agreed to be quoted this way, sent over WhatsApp or said on a call, shortened only where they ran long. No star total or review count is published, because there is no public rating page to point at yet. Last checked September 2026.
Questions
What do buyers ask before shortlisting?
Is employee call tracking legal in India?
Logging business calls made through a work app, with staff informed, is ordinary practice and consistent with Indian law as commonly understood. Tell people what is recorded, keep it to business calls, and let them see their own log. Covert monitoring of personal calls on a personal phone is a different thing entirely and is not what these tools do.
Can I track calls without installing anything on staff phones?
No. Every tool here needs an app on the handset, because the call log lives on the phone. What differs is how intrusive the app is: some only read the log for reporting, while others replace the dialer and add a customer record to each call.
What is the cheapest way to track employee calls?
A free tier: Telecalling Software keeps call analysis and analytics free forever, and Dialmio, RMDialer and NLCaller each keep a dialer free. That answers how much calling happened. Knowing what was said and whether anybody followed up is the paid team CRM, from ₹159 to ₹162 a user a month on yearly billing among the apps here, so decide which question you are paying to answer.
Will staff resist call tracking?
Less than owners expect, when it is visible and when it also helps them. Callers tend to accept a tool that shows them their own talk time and stops them losing callbacks, and resist one that appears to exist purely to catch them out.
Can I see calls made on WhatsApp?
No. WhatsApp voice calls happen inside WhatsApp and are not visible to any third-party app on the phone. What a call management CRM can do is log WhatsApp messages sent through it against the same lead, so the written conversation is on the record even when a call is not.
Does tracking work if a caller uses a second phone?
Calls on a handset without the app are invisible, which is worth knowing rather than pretending otherwise. In practice a caller whose reported volume is far below the team pattern is visible in the report itself, and the conversation that follows is usually simpler than any technical measure.
What does a call management CRM actually do?
A call management CRM connects the phone to the customer record. The record opens as a call starts, with the previous note visible; a sheet collects the result and the next step as the call ends; unanswered calls line up for a callback; and the owner gets call counts, talk minutes and outcomes per person with no report to chase. Dialmio does all four from a single Android app.
Is there a monthly plan?
The shortest term is three months, at ₹249 per user per month, and the yearly term drops that to ₹162, tax extra on both. A common route is to begin on the three-month term and change to yearly at the first renewal.
How much does Dialmio cost?
Dialmio costs ₹162 per user each month on the yearly plan, or ₹249 on the three-month plan, taxes extra. Both billing periods include the whole product: call tracking, the auto dialer, the lead record, reminders, WhatsApp rules and the owner dashboard, with no cap on leads or calls. The first three days are free and no card is taken. Prices checked October 2026.
Are there per-call or per-lead charges?
None. The per-user monthly subscription is the entire software cost. Your mobile operator bills the calls as it always has, and your WhatsApp API provider bills the messages it sends; Dialmio takes no cut of either.
What happens to my data when the subscription ends?
Nothing is erased over a lapsed payment. Every lead, call and note stays in the account, and only the calling features pause until a plan is active again, so renewing late costs no history.
Tracking that a team will accept, and tracking that they will not
Updated 20 July 2026
What each kind of tracking actually collects
The word covers three quite different things, and a team reacts to them very differently. It is worth knowing which one you are buying.
| Kind | What it records | How it lands with the team |
|---|---|---|
| Call log tracking | Numbers, duration, direction, outcome | Accepted, because it is the work itself |
| Attendance | A punch, with a time and a place | Accepted where the reason is explained |
| Continuous location | A line through the whole day | Resented, and remembered long afterwards |
Every entry on the shortlist above does the first. Ask specifically about the third before buying anything, because vendors describe it in very mild language.
Three questions to settle before you buy
You want to know how much calling is happening.
Call log tracking, and nothing beyond it. That question is answered entirely by the handset log. Buying surveillance to settle it costs you goodwill you will need later for something else.
You want to know whether the field team started work.
Attendance with a timestamp. There is no door for a field team to walk through, so a punch is the honest record. It is a moment, not a day, and that difference is what makes it acceptable.
You are hoping tracking will fix performance.
It will not. Measurement shows you where the problem is; it never removes one. Teams that improve after installing tracking almost always changed something else at the same time.
What owners and managers search
How do I track calls made from staff phones?
Read the handset call log, which already holds every call, its duration and its direction. An app that becomes the dialer can attach an outcome and a customer to each one, which is what turns a log into something anybody can act on.
Can I track calls without the caller knowing?
You should not try. Covert monitoring of a team damages trust permanently once discovered, and it will be discovered. Tell people what is collected and why; the ones doing the work rarely object to their calls being counted.
What should I actually measure?
Calls made, talk time, outcomes recorded and follow-ups kept, for each person, on comparable lists. Those four together resist being gamed, whereas any one of them alone rewards a behaviour you did not intend.
Is call recording part of this?
It can be. Some handset apps, Dialmio among them, record calls on supported Android phones and attach the audio to the call. What a handset captures depends on its maker and Android version, so test on your own team phones, and tell staff and customers when calls are recorded.
Worth quoting
- Call log tracking, attendance and continuous location tracking are three different things and land very differently with a team.
- Covert monitoring is always discovered eventually, and the damage outlasts whatever it revealed.
- Calls, talk time, outcomes recorded and follow-ups kept are the four measures that resist gaming together.
- Handset call recording depends on the phone model and Android version, so test it on your own team phones.
- Measurement locates a problem; it does not solve one.
How this list is judged
- Prices and capabilities came from each vendor’s own published pages, dated beside the list.
- The platform limits described are documented operating system behaviour rather than one vendor claim about a rival.
What this page does not claim
- We make Dialmio, which is on this list, and we deliberately do not offer continuous location tracking. Read the section about it knowing we sell no such thing.
- Nothing here is advice about employment law. Take that from somebody qualified in your jurisdiction.
