Knowing that a caller made 80 calls is useful. Knowing what they said on the three calls that mattered is better.
Dialmio supports call recording on supported Android phones and attaches each recording to the call on the lead record, next to the outcome, the note and the follow-up. Owners can listen when they need to: for training, a quality check, or a customer who says “nobody told me that”.
How does call recording work in Dialmio?
- Caller calls from their own SIM, through Dialmio, as usual.
- The call is recorded on supported phones.
- The recording appears on the lead’s timeline, with the outcome and note the caller logged.
- Managers with permission play it from the web CRM.
Android controls call audio, so recording support varies by phone brand and Android version. Test on your team’s handsets first; our team can help check your models.
What do teams use recordings for?
| Use | Example |
|---|---|
| Training new callers | Play three good calls from your best caller on day one |
| Quality checks | Pick five random calls a week per caller |
| Customer disputes | “You promised delivery by Friday”: check what was actually said |
| Coaching | Listen to calls marked “not interested” to find the objection |
| Proof of disclosure | Insurance, loans and finance teams confirming terms were explained |
Do you need to listen to every call?
No. Most owners never have time to. Use the numbers first: calls, talk time, outcomes, follow-ups done. Listen only when the numbers raise a question. See call monitoring software.
How do you record calls responsibly?
- Tell customers. A line such as “this call may be recorded for quality” or a mention in your WhatsApp intro.
- Tell your team what is recorded and why.
- Limit access with per-employee permissions.
- Keep recordings for business use only, and do not share them outside the team.
This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Where else is call data kept?
Every call, recorded or not, shows on the lead with time, duration, outcome, note and follow-up date. Missed calls go to a callback queue. The daily call report is built automatically.
