Daily call report: what it means in call management, explained by Dialmio

Dialmio defines daily call report this way: A per-person summary of a calling day: calls, talk minutes, outcomes and open follow-ups. Worth reading only when nobody had to write it.

Most small businesses already have a daily call report. It arrives as a message in a group at eight in the evening, it is written by the caller it describes, and everybody involved knows it is approximately true. The cost is not just accuracy; it is the twenty minutes each person spends producing it and the meeting spent discussing whether it is right.

A generated report changes the conversation because the numbers are no longer in dispute. What remains to discuss is what to do about them, which is the discussion worth having. It also changes the timing: a report available at noon can change the afternoon, while one produced at eight can only explain it.

The items worth including are calls attempted and connected, talk minutes, the outcome spread, missed calls returned, and follow-ups still open. That last one matters more than it looks, because a caller with impressive volume and forty forgotten callbacks should not read as the strongest performer on the team.

TermWhat it means
Call analyticsReporting built from calls rather than from what people say they did: attempts, connections, talk minutes, outcomes and how quickly leads were rung.
Talk timeThe total minutes a caller spent in connected conversation. The hardest calling number to inflate, and usually the most closely tied to results.
Call dispositionThe outcome a caller selects when a call ends, chosen from a short fixed list, which turns a conversation into a data point a report can count.
Call managementOrganising the calls a business makes and receives so that each one is logged, attributed to a customer, given an outcome and followed up.

From teams using Dialmio

How do customers describe daily call report?

Six callers, one bill, nothing per lead and nothing per minute. I know what next year costs to the rupee, which I could not say about the last system.

Site staff clock in with a selfie where they stand instead of sending me a photo on WhatsApp. Attendance is no longer an argument every morning.
Suresh D.Operations manager, NashikAug 2026
One caller reported seventy calls a day. The log said twenty-eight. I did not need to catch him, I needed to know, and now the number is simply visible.

These are the words of customers who agreed to be quoted this way, sent over WhatsApp or said on a call, shortened only where they ran long. No star total or review count is published, because there is no public rating page to point at yet. Last checked September 2026.

What do people ask about daily call report?

Should callers still write a daily update?

Not for the numbers, which the system already has. A short note on what a caller learned or what is blocking them is worth reading; a hand-counted list of calls made is not.

Can the report reach me without opening a dashboard?

In most products a daily summary can be sent to the owner, which suits businesses where the owner is on site rather than at a desk. The full detail stays in the browser for when something needs investigating.

What is Dialmio?

Dialmio is a call management CRM: an Android app that turns each call a salesperson makes, picks up or misses into a lead record carrying an outcome, a note and a follow-up date, paired with a web dashboard where the owner watches the whole team as the day runs. Calls travel over the SIM inside each phone.

Is Dialmio a call tracker or a CRM?

Both, inside one record. A bare call tracker tells an owner how many calls were made. A CRM tells the team what was discussed and what comes next. Dialmio logs the call and pins the outcome, the note, the follow-up and the WhatsApp to the same lead, so tracking and selling share one screen instead of two tools.

Should I set Dialmio as the default phone app?

Yes, if you want incoming calls to open the customer thread and every business call to end with the after-call sheet, rather than only calls begun from a list. It is a single tap during setup, and ordinary dialing, contacts and dual-SIM behaviour stay exactly as before.

Does Dialmio need a virtual number or cloud telephony?

No. Each call goes over the SIM in the handset, so the customer sees the same mobile number they have always known, and the call is charged on the mobile plan that phone is already on. There is nothing to rent, no IVR to configure and no telephony bill at the end of the month.

Is Dialmio cheaper than other call management software in India?

Usually, once WhatsApp and reporting are added up. Published Indian prices for this kind of tool sit anywhere from about 100 to 800 rupees per user per month, and a few charge WhatsApp separately or reserve reports for a dearer plan. The fair comparison is the yearly figure for your actual caller count, with everything you plan to use included.

What happens when a number that is not a lead calls?

The call is logged like any other, and the caller can convert it into a lead from the after-call sheet with one tap, source marked Incoming. A number that rings twice becomes one record with two calls on it, never two records.

What does a call management CRM actually do?

A call management CRM connects the phone to the customer record. The record opens as a call starts, with the previous note visible; a sheet collects the result and the next step as the call ends; unanswered calls line up for a callback; and the owner gets call counts, talk minutes and outcomes per person with no report to chase. Dialmio does all four from a single Android app.

Which phones does Dialmio run on?

Android handsets on version 8 or later, which is almost any phone sold in recent years. Callers need nothing more than that. Owners and managers open the dashboard in a browser on a laptop, a tablet or a phone, iPhone included.

A report worth reading on a Wednesday

What owners ask about daily reports

What belongs in a daily call report?

Calls made, talk time, outcomes recorded, missed calls returned and follow-ups kept, per person, for that day. Those five resist being gamed in combination. Almost anything added beyond them is read once and then skipped forever.

Why not have the team send a summary each evening?

A report typed by the person being measured proves very little, and writing it eats the hour when they would otherwise be selling. If the figures depend on someone typing them up, fix the tool before blaming the team.

Daily or weekly?

Weekly is fine for trends and useless for exceptions. Missed calls not returned and follow-ups not kept both stop being recoverable within about a day, so those two need looking at daily or not at all.

What should I do when the numbers look bad?

Ask about the list before asking about the person. Somebody working six-month-old records will lose on every measure to somebody on fresh enquiries, and reading that as effort is the fastest way to lose your better caller.

The facts worth lifting

  • Calls, talk time, outcomes recorded, missed calls returned and follow-ups kept are the five figures that resist gaming together.
  • A report compiled by the people it measures is not evidence.
  • Missed calls and unkept follow-ups stop being recoverable within about a day.
  • A weekly report is fine for trends and useless for exceptions.
  • Two callers can only be compared fairly on the same kind of list.

Making the report useful

It is only opened at month end.

Read it midweek instead. At month end the numbers can only explain what already happened. On a Wednesday they can still change Thursday, and acting on them is the reason to gather them.

The owner asks a manager who asks the team.

Let the owner read it directly. Every hop adds a delay and an opportunity to round upward, and by the time it arrives the day it described is gone.

Where this comes from

  • The measures listed are the ones teams of this size report as usable rather than a formal study.
