How does Dialmio import leads from a Google Sheet?

Dialmio imports leads from a Google Sheet by connecting to that sheet once and then watching it, so a row added by an agency, a form or a colleague is pulled in within minutes without anybody downloading a file or opening the spreadsheet at all. Every fresh row picks up the source label you chose at connection time, goes to the next caller in the rotation you set for that sheet, and raises an alert on that caller handset within moments. The practical effect is on speed to first call: a form completed at nine is usually being rung before ten past, which is the window that decides whether the customer has already spoken to a competitor. Several sheets can feed the same account, so a business running three campaigns can keep them separate and compare their connect rates honestly.

In short

  • Connect once, then new rows arrive on their own
  • Each sheet carries its own source tag and rotation
  • The assigned caller gets a push notification
  • Several sheets can feed one account at the same time

How it works

How do you set up and use live Google Sheets import?

  1. 01

    Connect the sheet

Add the sheet on the dashboard, name the source, and say which column holds the phone number. Nothing about how the agency or the form writes to it has to change.

  2. 02

    Pick who receives from it

Choose the callers in the rotation for that source. New rows are dealt out in turn among them, and a caller on leave can be taken out of the rotation for a week.

  3. 03

    The lead rings a phone

A new row is pulled in, becomes a lead tagged with its source, lands with a caller and raises a notification on that phone. The first call usually happens within the same hour.

What you get

What do you get with live Google Sheets import?

Minutes, not mornings

Rows are collected on a short cycle rather than when somebody remembers, which is the difference between reaching a customer while the enquiry is fresh and reaching them after two competitors have.

Nobody downloads anything

The sheet keeps being the place the agency writes to. The importing, the tagging and the assigning all happen without a person in the middle.

One sheet, one campaign

Each connected sheet carries its own source label and its own rotation, so three campaigns stay separable in the reports instead of merging into one pile.

The phone rings for the owner

A push notification lands on the handset of the caller who received the lead, so allocation and awareness happen at the same moment.

Duplicates still merge

A number already in the account joins its existing thread, so the same person filling two campaign forms does not become two leads with half a history each.

Change the rotation any time

Editing who is in the rotation applies to what arrives next and leaves everything already assigned exactly where it is.

From teams using Dialmio

What do owners and callers say about Dialmio?

In recruitment the same candidate number rings for years. Being able to read every earlier conversation is worth more to me than any report.
Neha J.Recruitment consultant, PuneJun 2026
Nine thousand rows of old enquiries went in from one Excel file with the source column intact. I had been putting that off for a year.
Ashwini B.Data manager, PuneAug 2026
The lost-leads list was uncomfortable the first time I opened it. We called forty of them back over a fortnight and two became customers.
Ganesh Y.Owner, modular kitchens, NashikJul 2026

These are the words of customers who agreed to be quoted this way, sent over WhatsApp or said on a call, shortened only where they ran long. No star total or review count is published, because there is no public rating page to point at yet. Last checked September 2026.

Questions

What do people ask about live Google Sheets import?

How quickly does a new row become a lead?

The sheet is checked on a short cycle measured in minutes, so a row added at nine is generally a lead on somebody phone before ten past. This is polling rather than an instant push, which trades a few minutes for a connection that keeps working without maintenance.

Does the sheet have to be laid out a particular way?

No, beyond having a column with the phone number in it. You say which column that is when connecting, along with any other columns worth keeping, so an existing agency sheet works unchanged.

Can I connect more than one sheet?

Yes. Each sheet carries its own source name and its own rotation of callers, which is what keeps campaign performance comparable rather than merged.

What if a row is edited after it was imported?

The lead in Dialmio is the working record from that point on, so later edits in the sheet do not overwrite notes or stages a caller has since added. Treat the sheet as the inbox and the app as the record.

Can I feed leads from a form or a web address instead?

Yes. An endpoint can receive leads directly, which suits a website form or a system that can post data, and it behaves the same way once it arrives: tagged, assigned in rotation and notified.

What happens if the sheet is deleted or access is withdrawn?

Importing stops and the account keeps every lead already collected. The connection can be pointed at a new sheet without any effect on the history.

Can I define my own lead statuses?

Yes, in your own words, and rename or reorder them whenever you like. The stages you set shape the lists, the filters and the reports, so a business selling site visits and one selling policies each see a pipeline that looks like their own.

Is employee call tracking legal in India?

Logging business calls made on a work app, with the employee told about it, is normal practice and consistent with Indian law as commonly understood. Dialmio keeps the fact, duration and outcome of business calls placed or answered through the app against your leads. Personal calls outside the app are not read, and staff can see the same log the owner sees.

Does Dialmio record calls?

Dialmio logs that the call happened, how long it lasted, which lead it belonged to, the outcome chosen and the note typed. Audio capture is blocked for third-party apps on many Android phones, so it is not sold as a headline feature, and a vendor promising it on every handset deserves a pointed question.

Can I export call reports?

Yes, for any date range, as a spreadsheet. Exporting is a right on its own, which means somebody can call a list all day and still be unable to carry it out of the building.

A live connection, and the day it quietly stops

Updated 11 July 2026

Making an automatic import stay automatic

Somebody renames a column in the source sheet.

Agree the headers are fixed, in writing. This is the single most common reason a working connection stops. A reordered column survives; a renamed one does not, and the failure is silent because nothing errors, leads simply stop arriving.

Nothing has arrived since Tuesday.

Notice that, deliberately. A connection that breaks does not announce itself. Somebody has to be in the habit of asking whether today looks like a normal day, because a quiet queue looks identical to a quiet market.

An agency owns the sheet you read.

Get a second copy you control. A source somebody else can restructure without telling you is a dependency rather than a feed. A duplicate tab that only they append to costs nothing and removes the surprise.

What people ask about connected sources

How quickly should a new row become a call?

Minutes rather than hours, because the entire value here is arriving before your competitors. Anything slower and you have automated the copying without buying the advantage the copying was in the way of.

What if the same person enquires twice?

Match them on the phone number and keep both sources on a single record. A customer who exists twice gets rung by two different callers in the same hour, which annoys them more than one slightly late call would.

How do I know which source is worth its budget?

Only if the source is stamped on every lead as it lands. Do that and the question becomes arithmetic; add it by hand afterwards and it never gets done consistently enough to trust.

Is a connected sheet secure enough for customer data?

Treat the sheet as the weak point, because it usually is. Limit who can open it, avoid keeping anything on it you would not want forwarded, and remember that access to that document is access to your pipeline.

What this rests on

  • The import and arrival behaviour described is how Dialmio works with a connected sheet or endpoint.
  • The failure modes listed are the ones that actually break these connections in practice, rather than theoretical ones.

What this page does not claim

  • This is a page about our own feature. Measuring your current delay costs nothing and is worth doing before buying anything.

Worth quoting

  • A renamed column header is the most common reason an automatic lead import quietly stops.
  • A broken connection does not announce itself; a quiet queue looks exactly like a quiet market.
  • Two records for one person is how two callers ring the same enquiry within the hour.
  • Stamping the source at the moment of arrival is what turns channel spend into arithmetic.
  • Access to the source spreadsheet is access to the whole pipeline.
