A good script does one job: it gets the first ten seconds right. After that the customer decides whether to talk.

All scripts below are for customers who enquired or are already customers. For cold promotional calling, read TRAI rules for sales calls first.

Replace the words in [brackets].

Which script fits which call?

1. First call after an enquiry

Hindi (Hinglish):

Namaste [Naam] ji, main [Aapka naam] bol raha/rahi hoon [Company] se. Aapne kal [website / Facebook ad] par [product/service] ke baare mein enquiry ki thi. Kya abhi 2 minute baat kar sakte hain?

English:

Hello [Name], this is [Your name] from [Company]. You enquired about [product/service] on our [website / ad] yesterday. Is this a good time for two minutes?

If yes: ask one question about their need before explaining anything.

Aap ise kis kaam ke liye dekh rahe the? / What were you looking to use it for?

2. Customer says “busy hoon, baad mein call karo”

Hindi:

Bilkul, koi baat nahi. Aaj shaam 6 baje ya kal subah 11 baje, kaunsa time theek rahega?

English:

Of course. Would 6 this evening or 11 tomorrow morning suit you better?

Always offer two times. “Baad mein” without a time becomes never. Log the time as a follow-up before the next call.

3. Returning a missed call

Hindi:

Namaste, aapka call [Company] par aaya tha, hum utha nahi paaye, maafi chahte hain. Main [Naam] bol raha/rahi hoon, bataiye kaise madad kar sakte hain?

English:

Hello, you called [Company] a little while ago and we missed it, sorry about that. I’m [Name], how can I help?

Return missed calls within the hour where possible. See missed call follow-up.

4. Follow-up after sending a quote

Hindi:

Namaste [Naam] ji, [Company] se [Aapka naam]. Maine [din] ko quotation bheja tha. Aapne dekh liya? Koi point clear karna ho to abhi bata dijiye.

English:

Hi [Name], [Your name] from [Company]. I sent the quotation on [day]. Did you get a chance to look at it? Happy to clear anything up now.

If “sochke batata hoon”:

Zaroor. Kya koi specific cheez hai jis par aap soch rahe hain: price, timing, ya kuch aur? / Sure. Is there something specific you’re weighing up: price, timing, or something else?

5. Customer went silent for weeks

Hindi:

Namaste [Naam] ji, [Company] se [Aapka naam]. Pichhle mahine aapne [product] ke baare mein baat ki thi. Kya abhi bhi dekh rahe hain, ya plan badal gaya?

English:

Hi [Name], [Your name] from [Company]. We spoke last month about [product]. Are you still looking, or have plans changed?

A clear “no” is useful too. Mark it closed and stop calling.

6. Confirming a visit or appointment

Hindi:

Namaste [Naam] ji, kal [samay] baje [jagah] par aapki [visit/appointment] confirm karne ke liye call kiya hai. Location WhatsApp par bhej raha/rahi hoon.

English:

Hello [Name], calling to confirm your [visit/appointment] tomorrow at [time] at [place]. I’m sending the location on WhatsApp now.

7. Customer says “not interested”

Hindi:

Theek hai, samajh gaya/gayi. Bas ek baat bata dijiye, kya aapne kahin aur se le liya, ya abhi zarurat nahi hai?

English:

Understood. Just so I note it right, did you go with someone else, or is it not needed right now?

Note the reason. A month of reasons tells you more than any report.

What should happen right after each call?

  1. Log the outcome.
  2. Set the next follow-up date and time.
  3. Send the WhatsApp you promised. See WhatsApp templates after a sales call.

In Dialmio these three steps take two taps on the after-call sheet, and the WhatsApp can go automatically based on the outcome. The app also runs in 40 languages, so each caller can use it in Hindi, Marathi or their own language.
